Humble is a voice-first dating app operated by Maine Winters LLC, a Maine limited liability company. By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Humble.
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on Humble. Content and conduct that is prohibited includes, without limitation:
We remove objectionable content and eject the users who post it. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. We may remove content, suspend, or permanently ban an account at our sole discretion and without notice, and we may report unlawful conduct to law enforcement. A banned account may not be recreated.
Every profile and every conversation carries reporting and blocking controls:
We screen uploaded photos automatically before they appear to anyone. When a message is reported, we transcribe the recent voice history in that conversation so a human can review what actually happened.
You keep ownership of the photos, voice recordings, and text you put on Humble. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, transcode, and display that content solely to operate the service, for example generating a waveform for a voice message or a smaller image for a card. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we must retain something to comply with the law or to handle a safety report.
You are responsible for what you post. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share.
Humble, and everything we made that you encounter through it, belongs to Maine Winters LLC. That includes the apps, the website, our source code, our designs, our copy, our sounds, the Humble name and logo, and the way the service is arranged and presented. All of it is protected by copyright, trademark, and trade secret law. Your content stays yours, as described above.
HUMBLE, the Humble wordmark, the H-mark and the Humble waveform device are trademarks of Maine Winters LLC. You may not use them without our written permission, including in an app name, a domain name, a social handle, advertising, or search keywords.
We give you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Humble on your own devices, for finding people to date. That is the whole licence. In particular, you may not:
These restrictions survive the end of your account. If you break them we may terminate your access immediately, and we reserve every remedy available to us.
We respect copyright and we respond to valid notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you believe something on Humble infringes a copyright you own or control, send a written notice to our designated agent that includes all of the following:
We remove or disable infringing material when we receive a valid notice, and we terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same agent, containing your signature, identification of the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief it was removed by mistake, your name, address and telephone number, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if you are outside the United States, the District of Maine).
Be careful what you swear to. Under 17 U.S.C. 512(f), anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, is liable for damages.
Humble verifies that people are real. We do not run criminal background checks and we cannot guarantee anyone's intentions. Verification means the person's selfie matched their photos, nothing more. Please read our safety tips before meeting anyone in person, meet in public the first time, and tell someone where you are going.
You can delete your account from Settings inside the app at any time. Deletion removes your profile, photos, voice messages, and matches, and purges the associated files from our storage. Some records may be retained where required for safety or legal reasons, as described in our privacy policy.
Humble is provided as-is, without warranties. We open one market at a time, and availability in your area is not guaranteed. We may change or discontinue features, and we may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maine Winters LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of Humble, including the conduct of any other user or anything that happens when you meet someone in person.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
